A couple of weeks back, I travelled to the other side of the Sydney central business district to present our work on vocational training, to a public sector audience.

I used an awesome example of Star Wars characters to illustrate our data and the importance of communicating learning objectives between teachers, employers and students.

Today, I met with our partners, to discuss a different but related research project, on vocational training competitions.

We have the final dataset on all the people in our control and intervention groups. We are now analysing their enrolment outcomes.

Our partners will undertake an audit to see who is still studying, who completed and who cancelled.

We also discussed one final workshop to put together a rollout pack to help other campuses across the state use similar methods to keep learners engaged. Exciting times!
