Lots of work to catch up on and preparing for fieldwork. The focus group interviews went from the afternoon into the evening. We need to vary the times, as we’re speaking with apprentices and trainees who work a range of hours and shift work.

We had highly enjoyable discussions about education and work solutions for trainees who are struggling. Especially interesting how one participant put into context relative income differences between junior and senior staff. Tomorrow, travel up the coast to do focus group interviews at a different site. This photo show the amazing surrounds of my hotel… which I’ve not had time to enjoy, alas and alack!
