Australian social science website catalogues languages from Papua New Guinea

A new Australian social science website has catalogued over 1,000 local languages from Papua New Guinea. The project will help linguists study the diffusion of cultures. The languages are so complex that there are 1,000 variations of words like “water” “louse.”
