Day in Applied Sociology 17: Fieldwork means long hours and of course lots of travel through small towns. The research so far has identified themes about how to better personalise service delivery for vulnerable people. Empathy, non judgemental approaches in case work, and support to identify small, achievable goals were also important. We’re about half way through this second phase of the research. These photos are mostly from beautiful Lismore, as well as Alstonville and Ballina, which are all in regional New South Wales, along the coast.
